A Christmas Puzzle

A Christmas Puzzle

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me …

You all know the song, Five Gold Rings, Four Calling Birds, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves and a Partridge in a Pear Tree etc.

But what I want to know is, in total, how many gifts did my true love give me over the twelve days of Christmas?

Answers on a postcard … (or in the comments section!)

OK – I will have a go with 364 items

Although what I am going to do with 42 swans a swimming I have no idea!

Congratulations Geoff – you’re spot on.

And given the weather we’ve been having of late, I’d have thought that 42 swans a swimming was the perfect gift!
